Honors Program Office Hours - Summer B
Honors Office Hours for Summer B are above. These are the times each week we plan to be available for student questions and drop-ins. It’s not unusual for me to have meetings during these times, so if you plan to stop by you may want to email ahead of time and let me know so we can be sure to connect. If these don’t work or if you have a pressing question about advising, degree planning, your major, or preparing for transfer, please reach out to one of our fantastic academic advisors.
Are You New to the Honors Program? Join an Orientation to Finalize Your Membership
Attending an Honors New Student Orientation is the final step in accepting your position in the program. Honors New Student Orientation is an opportunity to make sure that every member of our community gets a strong start. We’ll connect with each other, talk about how to be successful in the Honors Program, and explore the processes for academic planning, class selection, and tracking Honors Points. We’ve got orientations scheduled virtually and on-campus so you can attend and get registered for Honors classes wherever in the world you are.

Honors Class Schedule - Summer 2024 and Fall 2024
Not sure what to take? Check out Ethics (PHI2600) Honors with Professor Claypool
What makes Honors Ethics fun, interesting, and different? Professor Claypool says it best:
First, there’s no textbook for it. Students will work together with Professor Claypool to generate their own ethical theory reference “book.” Second, the overall semester will be focused on each student developing their own position on an ethical issue that they’re interested in, ultimately producing a paper on that issue that they can use as a writing sample. While I will work with them to select an appropriate issue, etc., no topic will be off-limits. In fact, I want them to lean toward seriously controversial things. There’s going to be a lot of interaction and cooperation across the board. I’m super stoked for this class! I think it’s going to be a fantastic experience in exploring and applying ethics.
