Study Abroad Opportunities in Warsaw, Poland- 10th Security and Society Summer School- Info Session
30 Honors Points for Study Abroad
This summer program, now in its 10th year, provides participants with a unique opportunity to gain insights into security issues from the perspective of Central Europe. It includes a 4-week in-person course based in Warsaw, with travel to Berlin and Krakow, followed by a two-week online research internship with the Terrorism Research Centre. Papers developed during this internship will be published in Volume 7 of Security and Society in the Information Age. The program covers a broad range of topics including regional and global security challenges, with a focus on the implications of Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Key areas of discussion include hybrid threats, cybersecurity, terrorism, information warfare, the role of AI and other innovations, as well as international law relating to war and peacebuilding.
Program dates: May 25 - June 22, 2024

Cost: $5,850
Credits: 4 US semester credits
Student Volunteers Needed for the Student Conduct Board
The Student Conduct Board is looking for students willing to assist with hearings over the summer and early fall. You can support your fellow students and collaborate with professionals at SF in hearing cases of academic misconduct and helping determine fair and just outcomes. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in education, law, or leadership experience. If you are interested in serving, all you need to do is email dan.rodkin@sfcollege.edu and complete the Canvas course training soon to be a part of the Student Conduct Board.

10 Honors Points for Open House Involvement
Open House meetings are the perfect opportunity for future Santa Fe Students and those interested in Santa Fe to learn more about what Santa Fe offers. However, since we are short on Staff, those who are familiar with Santa Fe College could volunteer by helping answer general questions about Santa Fe, for out-of-town families, questions about the Gainesville area, helping students and families find sessions, and providing directions. We’ll provide water and any materials you might need, as well as handle setup and teardown, but we do need staff! Please consider signing up for a shift, or multiple shifts, if possible! Write Yourself into the Art Museum!
15 Honors Points per piece of published work
Words on Canvas is an annual art writing competition at the Harn Museum of Art for University of Florida and Santa Fe College students.
Writers of winning entries will be awarded fun prizes and will have the opportunity to read their entries in front of their artwork at the Harn's Museum.
Students may submit until midnight, February 25, 2024.

Harn Internships - Paid Projects For All Students
30 Honors Points per Semester for Internship Involvement
The Harn Museum of Art, for the first time in the museum’s history, will provide funding to every college student intern selected in the summer and fall semesters of 2024. This funding is made possible by a private grant complementing the generosity of individual donors enabling the Harn to provide students with opportunities to explore future careers and pursue their passions, while also receiving compensation.
Summer internships at the Harn Museum of Art are open to all majors to provide professional experience and guidance from museum staff. College internships are open for all university and college students to apply, provide pre-professional training, and are offered in all museum departments, including curatorial, education, finance and operations, fundraising, horticulture, information technology, marketing, registration art handling, rentals, strategic planning, and visitor engagement.

During the event, you will learn from David Cheesborough, Adjunct Professor, Risk Management and Insurance about a 2 semester/18 credit hour certificate program that can quickly provide students with the knowledge and skills to obtain entry-level positions. Professor Cheesborough will also share information about the associate in science business administration degree that can help students obtain additional knowledge and skills required for state licensure and higher-level high-paying positions.

The University of Florida’s Center for Nutritional Sciences is hosting a Research Symposium on Nutrient Requirements for Humans and Animals in the Era of precision nutrition. This inaugural one-day event will explore the evolving landscape of the nutritional needs of humans and animals within the paradigm of precision nutrition. Nationally recognized experts from diverse disciplines will convene to delve into the nuances of nutrient requirements, and current efforts to leverage technological advancements and innovative methodologies, such as artificial intelligence.
