Dance Marathon at UF Applications
1 point per volunteer hour
The Dance Marathon at the University of Florida is a campus tradition that celebrates and advocates for children’s health, and it is such a great way to get involved in our community. This campus tradition raises funds and awareness that benefit UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, so this is such a great opportunity for anyone involved in Pre-Health to connect with the hospital! Dance Marathon is now celebrating its 30th year, so they wanted to share a volunteer involvement opportunity with you. This walks students through all things DM at UF, our local hospital, Children’s Miracle Network, and more! They provide volunteer opportunities at Shands, service hours, and inspirational stories from many of our Miracle Children, Teens, and Families that have been treated by a Children's Miracle Network hospital. Being a part of DM at UF helps to connect students to both the hospital and our community as we serve and learn more about the life-saving care and research taking place at Shands Children’s Hospital. This opportunity helps to build leadership, mentorship relationships, and connections to both the hospital and UF Health Leadership. It is a great experience that you all can use in your future healthcare careers!
MaryKate Arbuckle is the Overall Director of Recruitment for Dance Marathon here at UF, and because they work so closely with UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital, this is the perfect opportunity for Pre-Health students to get involved in a student-run organization.
Don’t miss out on the chance to join the movement! Applications are open now, and there are just a few short questions. They are offering you an exclusive discount code! Enter code "prehealth" at checkout for $10 off your registration!
