30 Points for completing Virtual Exchange Program
Collaborate across the globe to brainstorm solutions to sustainability crises! This February and March, a team of SF Honors students will meet virtually with counterparts in Iraq to develop and propose solutions to sustainability challenges. Participating students will get the opportunity to participate in six virtual exchange sessions in February and March, each lasting between 60 and 75 minutes. All sessions will end before 2pm on the day before they are scheduled to take place. This involvement will culminate in the development of an academic poster that can be presented at SF’s Research in Undergraduate Education (RUE) festival or conferences. Learn more about Global Solutions here.

CIEE is pleased to collaborate once again with UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, to call on undergraduate student teams from across the globe to present their solution ideas to support increasing access to higher education and livelihood for forcibly displaced youth around the world. UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, is a global organization dedicated to saving lives, protecting rights, and building a better future for refugees, forcibly displaced communities, and stateless people.
We invite you to take part in this inspiring and life-changing event through these volunteer opportunities:
Solution Proposal Reviewers (Round 1)
We are looking for reviewers who have experience with refugee issues to evaluate students’ Challenge responses at the conclusion of Round 1 of the competition (February 21). We estimate your time commitment to be 5 hours over the course of two weeks. You’ll be eligible for a $300 discount towards your 2025 GIC registration. Learn more and sign up by March 19.

Honors Research Workshops - Tell Us What You Want!
SF Honors students do a lot of research, both in and outside of classes. Luckily, our research librarians are dedicated to supporting you in your research efforts. This semester, SF Honors and the Lawrence W. Tyree Library are partnering to present an Honors Research Workshop series.
We need your help! Help us kick off this effort by telling us what you want—including what topics you feel are most important and what times work for you. For more information on this or other workshops, email honors@sfcollege.edu.
Volunteer Opportunity - SF Open House Events
1 Honors Point per Hour
Do you want to share your passion for SF with potential students? Support SF and the Honors Program by volunteering at either or both of our recruitment events this spring.
There are two upcoming events this semester that SF Admissions need your support with:
Open House on February 22nd from 8:30 AM -2:30 PM
Family Preview Day on March 29th from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
The goals of both events are twofold: to present to prospective/incoming students the resources/support available to them and to get them excited about being an SF student! Open house places a spotlight on academic, admissions, and transfer resources in a mostly tabling format for prospective students. Family preview day features more presentations and panels for incoming students. The sign-up sheet linked below allows you to sign up to help with one or both of these sessions.
For questions about participating in either of these events, please reach out to Shelby Nagle: shelby.nagle@sfcollege.edu
