Fall 2024 Graduates - Apply for Honors Graduation by October 22
Congratulations on making it through your last semester in the SF Honors Program! If you plan to graduate at SF this fall semester, now is the time to apply for Honors graduation. Completing this graduation request helps us make sure that you receive all the recognition you’ve worked so hard to earn, including:
Graduation regalia.
Notation on your transcript.
Recognition in the commencement program.
Special recognition at the commencement event.
To apply, complete the Fall 2024 Graduation Application assignment in your Honors Canvas Course by October 22. We know the deadline is approaching soon, but the submission doesn’t take long. If you have any questions, please contact us.
Plan and Register for Spring 2025 Honors Classes
Starting today, Honors students can begin building their schedules for the coming spring semester. Start planning for next term by viewing the Spring 2025 Honors Course Catalog. Although there are a couple of gaps left to fill in, all TBA courses will be updated in the upcoming weeks.
Check eSantaFe for Registration Holds
Before you register, be sure to check your eSantaFe account for registration holds. Holds, such as the requirement to complete a registration agreement or meet with an advisor, will result in you being ineligible to register for courses and significantly delay processing.
Request Classes Now
Are you ready to request your Honors classes for Spring? Use the Honors Registration Request system to select your classes now. Submit your request today, and we will begin processing them as early as October 25. Regularly check your student email for confirmation of registration or additional details about next steps after this date.
Get Ready for Advanced Registration, October 31
Once you’ve completed your Honors Registration Request, you can view all of the other classes scheduled for the spring semester in your eSantaFe account. On October 31, you’ll be able to register for all of your non-Honors courses.
Planning for Spring Classes
Are you trying to figure out which classes would be the best fit for this spring, summer, or beyond? The best way to set up a plan for success is to meet with your advisor in the Academic Advisement Center. Log into eSantaFe now to find your advisor and set up a time to meet.
If you are planning to transfer to UF in the future, now is also an excellent time to plan on meeting with an advisor from your intended program. Contact the UF@SF Center for information on when UF advisors will be visiting to meet with prospective transfer students.
Reminder: Pizza with the Provost - October 23 at 2pm
5 Honors Points for attending
Pizza with the Provost, originally planned for Tomorrow, has been postponed in anticipation of Hurricane Milton’s arrival. The event has been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 23 at 2pm.
In two short weeks, we have an unprecedented opportunity for you to share your perspective and represent your fellow Honors students. Dr. Nate Southerland, the provost, is looking forward to meeting you to hear more about your experience at SF and in the Honors Program. This meeting will take place in the Honors Conference Room (A-216). If you are interested, RSVP below to let us know, but also feel free to swing by. Refreshments will be provided!
Date: Wednesday, October 9th
Time: 2:00 pm
Honors Events Coming Soon
Not sure how many points you have or how to build your portfolio? Unsure of how to get involved? Loving your classes but looking for other ways to get involved? Want to connect with other Honors students and just have a good time? Look for workshops and events coming in the second half of the semester that give you the opportunity to get involved.

30 Honors Points per Semester
Interested in becoming a Santa Fe College Student Ambassador? Ambassadors work with the Office of Admissions, leading campus tours, hosting group visits, and representing the college at major events like Convocation, Graduation and Open House. All it takes is for you to have a 3.0 or above GPA, be enrolled full-time, and have at least two semesters left to complete at Santa Fe – and of course, have a genuine interest in helping others and in representing the college! If selected, Student Ambassadors receive a scholarship equal to 12 credit hours of full-time enrollment per semester of employment, as well as a person letter of recommendation from Dr. Broadie that can be used for future job or college applications. Time commitments are generally less than 5 hours per week.
Due to the recent storms, we are extending our application deadline to start in the Spring of 2025 to October 25th. Please follow the link below to apply and bear in mind that we ask for two letters of recommendation from each applicant. Those letters can be sent in up to November 8th. You’ll also find links to more information about the program on the application page. Please disregard any deadlines listed there and use the ones mentioned in this email.
If you have any questions at all please reach out to the Ambassador Coordinator at Robert.gregory@sfcollege.edu. Thanks, and we hope to hear from you soon!
