Hello everyone, and welcome to the “it’s almost Spring Break” edition of the Honors Update. I know we’re all focused on making it through this last week and you’ve likely got exams, papers, and projects due, so I’ll keep it brief. We have a few key updates this week, so take a minute and make sure you’re not missing anything.
Planning for Summer and Fall: Do I Need An Academic Plan?!

Many students have already reached out to our office about selecting classes for Summer and Fall. Start planning for upcoming semesters by working with our Academic Advisors in Building A, Room 028 to learn about academic planning and how you can use it to satisfy your program requirements.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring an electronic device to the workshop. Students who attend will have an opportunity to receive a free Subway cookie voucher.

Choose Classes for Summer and Fall
Follow up on the workshop and begin planning which classes you’ll take for these terms. The best way to set up a plan for success is to meet with your advisor in the Academic Advisement Center. Log into eSantaFe now to find your advisor and set up a time to meet.
If you are planning to transfer to UF in the future, now is also an excellent time to plan on meeting with an advisor from your intended plan of study. Contact the UF@SF Center for information on when UF advisors will be visiting to meet with prospective transfer students.
SF Honors Needs Your Support - SF Open House
SF is hosting the biggest recruitment event of the year on Saturday, March 23, and we need your help! On that Saturday, thousands of families will come from across the country to learn what SF has to offer. Many of you have already volunteered to support SF by staffing information stations, but the Honors Program also needs your support. Luckily, there are several ways to connect with potential SF students and encourage to be involved with our program. Spread your passion for Honors by taking part in tabling, share your experiences in an Honors info session, and answer questions from new and prospective Honors students. If you’re interested in learning more, click the button below to register for volunteering with Honors for Open House.
UF Presentations at the UF@SF Center
We are thrilled to announce a series of presentations by faculty from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Florida. These presentations will provide valuable insight into exciting degree pathways, programs, majors, and minors that UF offers. Whether you’re exploring majors, considering possible options, or feel you’ve already found an excellent program, we highly encourage you to attend and learn about these fantastic options.
The next presentation takes place March 28, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. We will be joined by Quinn Hansen and Timothy Karis, who will talk with us about Spanish, Portuguese, and International Studies. The location for this event is the UF @ SF Center, Santa Fe College NW Campus in Building HA-132. Please make it if you can and learn how Geography and Chemistry can prepare you for careers, pre-professional, and graduate programs.

Spring 2024 Graduates: Apply For Honors Graduation
Planning to graduate Spring or Summer this year? Now is a great time to begin working on your application for Honors Graduation. Completing and applying for your Honors credential requires you to:
Finish earning your Honors points.
Complete the Honors Credential Worksheet.
Complete and Honors Portfolio.
Submit and Honors Graduation Survey
You can find more information about applying for Honors Graduation on the Honors Canvas course. If you’re unsure about earning points. finishing your worksheet, or completing your portfolio, keep your eyes open for workshops coming after Spring Break.
