Introducing: The Honors Advantage Workshop Series
Being a member of the SF Honors Program gives you advantages academically, professionally, and when it’s time to apply for transfer, scholarship, and internships. Starting this week, we want to work to make sure every student in the Honors Program can make the most of these advantages. It’s for this reason that we are launching the Honors Advantage workshop series—brief workshops every week that give you a chance to connect with fellow Honors students, Honors Ambassadors, and staff to take advantage of exciting opportunities, learn more about the program, and make progress toward your Honors Credential. You can see information on upcoming Honors Advantage Workshops in the Canvas Calendar, or take a look at upcoming dates below.

Honors Schedule: Summer and Fall 2024
Remember that, when planning your schedule you’ll want to make room for at least one Honors class each semester. To help you put together that plan, we’ve got the schedule of classes for Summer and Fall 2024. Just remember that you’ll need to fill out an Honors Registration Request Form for any Honors class you plan to take.
You can see the full schedule right here on the Honors Hub.
I’m really excited for everything we have going on this year, but here are some highlights from our new schedule:
This summer, for the first time ever, we have a summer class! Knock out your humanities requirement with Art Appreciation (ARH1000, section 0H1) in Summer B.
This Fall, take Macroeconomics (ECO2013, section 0H1) at the Blount Center, in downtown Gainesville, right down the street from UF!
Art Appreciation (ARH1000, Section 0H1) and Art Fundamentals (ART1001C) Honors are going to be available at the Davis Center in Archer this Fall! Take a short drive to the beautiful country and get your art on!
How does Registration Work for Honors Students?
In previous semesters, Honors students relied on the Honors Program Office for academic planning, class selection, and registration for courses during advanced registration. This semester, Honors Students:
Can register themselves for Summer and Fall classes in eSantaFe during Advanced Registration, as early as March 27.
Will register for Honors Classes using the Honors Registration Request Form
Will work with Academic Advisors in the SF AAC and UF@SF Center to develop academic plans.
How do I Know What to Take?
We’re all more successful when we know why we’re doing what we’re doing, and this semester is a perfect time to build or refine your academic plan. Whether you are working on your first plan of study, created yours with me last semester, or got your start with Professor Hom, now is a great time to connect with an advisor to build a plan. Just remember that you want to take at least one Honors class per semester.

Meet with your Advisor in the SF Academic Advisement Center
Your advisor in the AAC is the expert in preparing for graduation from SF and transfer to a university and they are dedicated to supporting your education and career goals. Make an appointment to put together your academic plan now, before it’s time to register. You can learn more about the AAC through the SF Advisement website, or set up an appointment to meet with your advisor.
Meet with a UF advisor in the UF@SF Center
If you are planning to transfer to UF in the future, now is also an excellent time to plan on meeting with an advisor from your intended plan of study. Contact the UF@SF Center for information on when UF advisors will be visiting to meet with prospective transfer students.
When and How Can I Register?
As an SF Honors Student, you have access to Advanced Registration, meaning that you can register for classes as early as March 28. The process for registration is a little different, however, depending on which classes you plan to take:
Non-Honors Classes: Log into eSantaFe during Advanced Registration, then navigate to “Classes” and “Register for Classes.” Select the sections you want and register for them. It’s that easy!
Honors Classes: Registering for Honors classes requires that you submit an Honors Registration Request form. Just log into eSantaFe and find the Honors classes you want to take—their section numbers will have the letter H in them—and then put their information in the form.
