Hello and Happy Tuesday, everyone. This week started off with a bang as we welcomed Dr. Broadie for our first ever Meet the President event for the SF Honors Program. We have some exciting things coming, too, including deadlines for applications and preparing to register, but don’t forget to keep our eyes on the SF Alerts information page about the coming storm later this week. Since we’re not sure about this storm’s impacts, we’re just publishing one edition of the newsletter this week and highlighting a few important pieces of news.

SF Closed Thursday and Friday due to Helene
Hopefully, you’ve been blasted multiple times with updates related to Tropical Storm Helene. Due to the impending storm, SF plans to remain closed Thursday and Friday of this week. There will be no classes and all offices will be closed—including the Honors Program office. Please stay safe and we’ll look forward to connecting again on Monday! For more information on the SF closure, visit https://sfcollege.edu/alerts.

Thank you to everyone who came to meet President Broadie!
On Monday, SF Honors students had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Broadie and share about their experiences at SF as well as their vision for the future of the Program. I am so grateful to the 39 Honors Program Members who were able to share their passion for the SF Honors Community and recommend ways in which SF can support students’ goals and interests. If you didn’t get a chance to attend, you’ll have a great opportunity to connect with our Provost, Dr. Southerland, next month.
