Hello, and happy Monday, everyone! Have you started to settle into fall yet? Well, don't get too comfortable, because we have some great stuff coming up this week. We're excited to announce our first ever Meet the President, a singular opportunity to share your perspectives with Santa Fe's president. Have you had a great experience you want him to know about? Are there things you think honors students need that we don't have yet? In any case, Dr. Broadie and I are excited to hear your opinions. Also, are you still looking to fill that humanities requirement or earn honors points? Or maybe you're just looking for a great way to connect with gainesville's local art scene. In any case, I am excited to announce that visual artist and musician, Dan Stepp, is teaching honors art appreciation in fallby. To learn more and sign up, just look below!

Meet the Faces of the SF Honors Program
This Fall has likely seen you getting to know a lot of new people, but please take some time to get to know two more. Victoria Moreira Braune and Kiani King-Irwin are the SF Honors Program Assistants. Victoria and Kiani are here to support Honors students and faculty as we build exciting new opportunities to connect and get the most out of our time together. If you’ve been by the office lately, you’ve probably gotten to meet them already, but Victoria and Kiani have also been working hard putting together The Compass and our third issue of the Honors Club Rush Guide. This week and next, get to know Kiani and Victoria.
Victoria
Hi everyone! My name is Victoria Braune and I am happy to be working with the Honors Program this semester. I was born and raised in Brazil for eight years, then I moved to Hong Kong where I lived for nine years, and now I have been living in Florida for around two years. This is my second semester at Santa Fe College as well as my second semester being an Honors student. My goal is to get my associate degree at Santa Fe College and transfer to UF or UCF. I am also hoping to earn a bachelor’s degree for Psychology and also a doctoral degree in the future.
What’s up you guys!
