Hello everyone, and welcome back to the Monday Edition! I know that the past several days have been stressful, difficult, and unpleasant for many of us, but I hope that you and your families are all right. I was relatively lucky and only lost power for a few days, but if you are still without power or AC, you sustained damage to your home or car, or are dealing with the aftermath of the storm in any other way, please remember that we’re here to support you. We’ve got some SF resources in this edition that I hope will help, but if you need anything please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Honors office and let us know.

Update Your Voter Registration
The 2024 General Election is rapidly approaching. Election Day is November 5, and the last day to register to vote is October 7.
Make a plan to vote now! Visit VoteAlachua.gov to find out all you need to know and decide if you want to vote-by-mail (you must make a request and can do so at VoteAlachua.gov), vote early, or vote on Election Day at your assigned polling place.
Please update your voter registration record if you have moved recently or since the last time you voted. Visit RegisterToVoteFlorida.gov or stop by our office at 515 N. Main Street, Suite 300 in Gainesville to take care of your registration update. You can also visit a DMV or Alachua County Library. The process takes a few minutes and will save you time when you go vote.
Students, be ready to vote!

Planning for Spring
For the first time ever, this semester SF Honors students will have access to Advance Registration, meaning that you can pick your schedule for Spring on October 31, a week earlier than nearly any other student on campus. The best way to set up a plan for success is to meet with your advisor in the Academic Advisement Center. Log into eSantaFe now to find your advisor and set up a time to meet.
If you are planning to transfer to UF in the future, now is also an excellent time to plan on meeting with an advisor from your intended program. Contact the UF@SF Center for information on when UF advisors will be visiting to meet with prospective transfer students.
Preparing for Graduation
Planning to graduate in December? Keep your eyes open for announcements next week about applying for Honors graduation, calculating your points, and building your Honors Portfolio.
Honors Events Coming Soon
Not sure how many points you have or how to build your portfolio? Unsure of how to get involved? Loving your classes but looking for other ways to get involved? Want to connect with other Honors students and just have a good time? Look for workshops and events coming in the second half of the semester that give you the opportunity to get involved.
